Just wanted to say what a great event it was yesterday, the signage was good, the route was excellent, nice country roads without much traffic, the drink and food station was well stocked plus all the support staff were very friendly and efficient, even the technical T'shirt at the end was of very good quality.
Dear Alan,
Really enjoyed the ride last Sunday – it’s great to be back after 2 years in the wilderness of building a relationship with my couch and leading the life of a sloath.
Definitely got the bug back and hope now to lose the extra 10Kgs pretty quickly which will help my quest to become king of the mountains again in addition to king of the food stop!
I know I can beat that time (3:40 hrs) ‘cos I did the last 2 miles with only one pedal – note to self carry a tool kit and know how to fix my bike.
Thanks again to you and the whole organising team – looking forward to Spires and Squires already. The food stop was excellent by the way – a real an incentive to get up to the 80 mile route asap.
Kind Regards,
All,
Excellent event. All 5 of us (family & friends) thought it was a great ride. Great scenery and a good choice of roads.
If you could just arrange for a following wind all the way around next year (as we seemed to have a headwind all the way round this year – not quite sure how that’s achieved with a circuit, but I’m sure it was) that would make it even better.
Well organized & well sign-posted. Thanks.
Hi folks,
Another super event and love the shirt!
Many thanks,
'My wife and myself completed the Duchess on Sunday. Keen cyclists it was nevertheless our first Sportive. Organisation was excellent and we couldn’t fault it. Being able to park easily, register easily and start easily was a real treat (although that was the end of anything ‘easy’!). The route was excellent and well marked. The whole event had a good vibe'
