2 Sportives, 3 Distances & 4 Counties with the finest countryside!
Thursday, 19 January, 2017 - 21:40
Once again both our Sportives will have 3 multi distance routes available boasting stunning rural views. The Quattro, starting and finishing in Cogenhoe, Northamptonshire offers you the choice of the 51 mile Piccolo, 64 mile Medio, which equates to just over 100k and the 86 mile Gran Fondo route that takes you through 4 Counties (Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire).
The Squires and Spires Sportive, starting at Naseby, Northamptonshire next to the site where the battle of Naseby took place in 1645 will be on a Saturday this year. You will ride past many English country houses, including the magnificent Althorp House (home of the Spencer family and final resting place of Princess Diana) and Cottesbrooke Hall (inspiration for Jane Austen’s ‘Mansfield Park’). With 3 distanced available, the 51 mile Piccolo, 72 mile Medio and the 100 mile Gran Fondo - the choice is yours!
A new faster course is announced for the Weymouth half marathon!
Thursday, 12 January, 2017 - 20:12
The wait is over and the new course for the Weymouth half marathon is now available for you to view here.
The updated course will no longer take runners down to Portland removing a large off-road section making the course faster. It's perfect for those looking for a half marathon PB. Runners will still be able to take in the stunning views of the Jurassic coastline and receive great spectator support whilst running through the town and along the Esplanade.
The change in route also means a change to the two leg relay. The changeover will now take place on the Esplanade close to the start and finish making the distances similar for both runners (6.9 and 6.2 miles) and not far for the first runner to return to the finish to see their teammate cross the line and collect your medals.
Please note that although on Ride with GPS the route is listed as 13.3 miles the route has been measured by UK Athletics and is an accurate 13.1 miles.

Well done to everyone that took part in the first ever Survive 12!
Thursday, 24 November, 2016 - 09:30
A number of hardy runners took part in the first ever Survive 12 at Irchester Country Park last Saturday. We had soloists, pairs and teams of 3 and 4 all running as many 5 miles laps as they could within 12 hours. More than half of the event took place in the dark making the muddy terrain even tougher.
Everyone that took part found the event challenging, but enjoyed the camaraderie they developed throughout the day. The category winners were as follows: Karl Doy won the solo male category with 14 laps. Emma Tuck won the solo female category with 11 laps. 'Team Donkey & Elmo' won with mixed pairs category with 17 laps. 'Team NoWussingOut' won the pairs male category with 16 laps. 'Team Polish Wolves v2' won the pairs female category with 14 laps. ‘Going Strong’ won the teams’ category with 17 laps.
