Final results for the Wellingborough Multi-terrain series and round 3 are now online. Big congratulations to all who played a part in any of the 3 rounds, contributed to their clubs total scores or took on the challenge in a variety of conditions. The individual and club series prize winners will be sent there prizes through the post next week. We would like to thank everyone who came along and made the series another success in 2010. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2011.

It was great to see such a good turn out in what can only be described as a pretty miserable day - congratulations to you all, conditions were not easy! The rain seemed relentless, until we finished packing away, when the sun threatened to show itself (but didn't).
Provisional results are now online - click the results tab at the top of the page or access direct from the event page. Any queries will only be considered until wednesday 3rd march, after which time results will become final and we will publish the series and club results too. All series winners will be sent their prizes through the post.
We hope you have enjoyed this years series and will not only be back in 2011, but will check out some of our other events throughout the year. All feedback (positive and negative ) gratefully received, juist send us an email via the contact details.
Entries close for our next event, Wendover multi-terrain 5, on tuesday 2nd march with the run taking place on Sunday 7th March. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

We are delighted at the early take up of our new cyclosportive, the Quattro. As a first event we will only be taking up to 300 entries in 2010 across the 3 different routes. We will only be taking entries on the day if we haven't filled up prior to event day. And we are really looking forward to sharing our own Just Racing technical t-shirts that all finishers will receive as they cross the finish line. If you are looking for a bit of a deal, check out the cyclosportive package deal and receive a discount when you enter all 3 of our 2010 sportives.

Entries for the 2010 Grendon Triathlon are now closed as we have reached our race limit. If you have missed the entries and would still like to race, send an email to julie@justracinguk.com stating your name and date of birth and we will add you to a waiting list. We will notify you if any places become available.

The final results for 5k, 10k, 15k have now been added along with the series points and the Club points. The top 3 ladies are pretty close and with the current mens leader Phil Holland unable to make round 3, there are only 11 points seperating the next 6 runners! Olney runners are currently dominating the club championships after some great performances and turnouts in the first 2 rounds.
We will be taking pre-entries up to the tuesday prior to the race and then we will be taking entries on the day (additional £2). We look forward to welcoming you all to round 3 at Irchester Country Park.

Out of the 70 additional places that were released yesterday for the 2010 grendon triathlon, there only 10 left. This is an online entry option only and the places are distributed as a first come first served. When all of the places are taken, the availability to enter online will be removed. We expect the remaining 10 places to be taken today.

Congratulations to todays competers and completers in the 5k, 10km and 15k events at Round 2 of the Wellingborough multi-terrain series. We hope you enjoyed the event and hope to welcome you back for round 3 in 3 weeks time.
Provisional results are now online. Any problems, please let us know asap. The last date for any changes to be effected is thursday 11th February. After this date we will publish a final set of results, series points scores and club series standings also.
Either click on the results tab at the top of the page or visit the event page and click the results button. We have taken some images and video footage which we will be adding to the site in the near future. And finally, why not have your say and become a fan of the Just Racing Facebook page where you can post any photos you may have taken, tell us what you thought of the race, your run, offer any tips and advice for furture runners, etc etc. Just click through from the homepage to get there.

We are delighted to be organising the 2010 British Elite Duathlon Championships on behalf of British Triathlon. We are really excited about the addition of this event to our race calendar and running alongside the elite categories, will be a really exciting age group drafting event. There are time restrictions for the first 5k run leg for the elites, but not for the youths or age groups. Take a look at the event page for location and some other information about this event.
The senior and junior elites will race together over a 5km run, 20km bike and finishing with 2.5km run, with athletes from both categories eligible to win the £5,000 prize money. Youths will race over 2.5k run, 10km bike and 1.25km run. This year’s event will also see the inaugural British Paraduathlon Championships, which will be contested over 5km run, 20km bike and 2.5km run.
We will be issuing a full press release from British Triathlon early next week, but for now take a look and come join us at the British Elite Duathlon Champs on 28th March 2010.

It has now been over 4 weeks since we informed all existing runners of the change of date for this year's multi-terrain run at Wendover Woods, which has been plenty of time for runners to let us know if they have been unable to run on this new date. Any runner who has been unable to make this event has received a full refund. However, as we approach 4 weeks to go (Sunday 7th Feb), we will no longer refund any runner who is unable to make this new event. For clarification please refer to our terms and conditions. Should anybody still wish to enter this event, we do have places available.

We are pleased to announce that our online entry fees have now been reduced form 4% to 2.5%. This will apply to all online transactions. There were a lucky 600 customers who weren't charged any online entry fees during the first week's launch of the new website (this wasn't intended as a promotion, it was just our mistake!). We hope you enjoy using the new site, but remember any problems do let us know so we can ensure all is working as it should be.

We have now filled the 600 places on offer for this year's Grendon Triathlon. We are seeking ways in which we can increase the field size and are hoping that we can offer up to another 100 places. If this is possible, it will be on a first come first served basis. However, anybody still wanting a place can drop us an email and we will let you know if and when any additional places become available. For all those who have secured a place at the 2010 Grendon Triathlon, we look forward to welcoming you on 9th May 2010.

We have been astounded at the response to this years Grendon Triathlon. At the start of today we have only 20 places available. The limit of 600 is there as we have to get all the swimmers in the water over a 30minute period, to avoid large groups of riders making a right turn at the start of the bike leg and crossing those cyclists who are finishing their bike leg, creating an unsafe area for all. We have typically had 4 waves of up to 150 in each wave setting off every 10minutes. Due to the huge demand for this event we are looking at ways we can accept more entries whilst ensuring athletes still have a safe and enjoyable event. We will keep you posted, but expect to be closing entries either today or tomorrow.

September 2010 will see a new pool based triathlon added to the race calender. Race numbers will be limited to only 300 entrants in its first year. It will be pool based and will appeal to athletes of all abilities, including novice triathletes. More details on location, courses, dates etc to follow soon.

I am sure that most of you will have realised, the current downfalls of snow and extremely low temperatures forecast for the week ahead create a problem for the above event this weekend.
Wendover Woods has today been closed, the re-opening of which is uncertain. In association with the Forestry Commission, we have postponed the Wendover Multi-Terrain 5 until Sunday 7th March (the earliest opportunity outside January). Despite 2010 being the 10th year of this event, in light of the adverse weather conditions in 2009 and 2010, the 2011 event is likely to continue with a March date.
Please note, this email is going out to both current entrants and past entrants, to try to ensure nobody attempts to turn up and register on the day. If you can circulate this information to as many people as possible that would be much appreciated (we have emailed all competitors and phoned everybody that we do not have an email addresses for).
For all of the pre-entered runners, the issued race number and race times will remain the same. You will not receive any further race information via the post and we look forward to welcoming you to what will hopefully be a glorious event in March.

There will be a few tweaks to the bike and the run courses for both the little beaver and the beaver in 2010. The details will be announced in the next couple of weeks, but it will mean that on each lap the bike course will come through the grounds of the castle, giving the waiting spectators something to cheers about!

The first of our pool based triathlons has 3 times as many entries than it did at the end of 2008. This popular triathlon had over 500 competitors in 2009 and although we have extended the maximum number to 600 for 2010, we expect that this will fill up before the closing date. As we head in to 2010 the Grendon Triathlon is the current hot potato as we are already almost 50% full. The multiple status of this event is attracting competitors from all over the UK and promises to be a hotly contested Sprint Triathlon event. All abilities are welcome and you do not have to be trying to qualify to enter this event. See the event page about how to enter online.

We are delighted to be able to announce our new cyclosportive for 2010 - the Quattro. So named because of the 4 counties the route takes you through; Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire. There will be a route for all abilities with the mini covering 48miles, the midi 60 miles and the full quattro 82miles. The start will be at Wollaston School in Wollaston. Currently 200 entries up on 2008. Last week we received just over 100 entries. We have more entries now than last year on race day. We have less than 100 spaces still available. If you are planning to enter, please don't leave it too late as when we get to 600 we are closing entries.

Any alterations in estimated swim times need to be with us by the time we close the entries as this is when we will be posting individual start times (based on estimated swim times).

We have added a (temporary) map to the Ride 101 event page. Full ride information, including route directions / guidelines and profiles will be added next week. The shorter route will be between 75 and 80 miles and will miss a couple of the cheeky climbs out (this map will also appear next week). Pre-entries will be accepted until the wednesday prior to the ride and then on the day entries at an extra £5.

Congratulations to all of the triathletes who raced at Thame today. Luckily the weather was kind to us and we were delighted to see so many new faces to triathlon; we hope you'll be back at Roade at the end of September for our next pool based triathlon.
