Wellingborough R2 Results - 5th February 2012

What a day!  We are delighted to report that after a heavy night of snow, we were able to get competitors parked and racing in all 3 distances this morning.  There was definately some slower times as the heavy snow made it harder going underfoot.  The woods were beautiful and although we had a lot of no shows, there was a great atmosphere, with yet another stand out performance from an under strength Olney runners team.

Results are now online (click on the results tab at the top of the page).  Please report any problems or errors by Thursday so we can finalise the series and club positions before the weekend.

We look forward to seeing you at round 3 in 3 weeks time on the 26th February 2012.

weather warning
Weather caution and car parking... - 4th February 2012

Between 8 and 10cm of snow is forecast overnight tonight and whilst tomorrows multi-terrain run will definately go ahead, there may be some disruption to car parking in the morning.  We will not know the extent of any disruption until the morning, when we can assess the condition of the short downhill section of the drive in to the park.

We will advise competitors when they arrive where they can park and if sections of the park are inaccessible drivers will be directed to nearby retail parks which will add a 0.7mile walk (10 - 15minutes) race start.  Click the following link to see the way in from the retail park:

See you in the morning

dry in the country park
Wellingborough Multi-terrain Series - 5th December 2011

As the wellingborough multi-terrain round 1 race gets closer, we can report that the country park is currently about as dry as it has ever been.  Whatever happens in the next 6 weeks, it is looking like the run will produce some really fast times as the conditions will be much drier underfoot.  Entries open for 5k, 10k and 15k - we look forward to welcoming you in January to the start of our 2012 events.
