Results Online - 2nd May 2010

Still not sure whether we were lucky or unlucky today with the weather?  After being kept awake in a camper van by the rain the night before, I am going to opt for the former.  Of the 700 strong entry field, 570 managed to make the start line, so a big well done to all.  Last riders rolled over the finish line at around 6pm, and the results are now online.  They are sorted alphabetically and we know there are a couple of riders with odd times, so if you can contact us by Thursday we will make any corrections as we make the provisional results final.  We hope you enjoyed our 3rd running of this sportive and after having to change the route at the last minute, we will be looking to make the change permanent in future years with an extension further round the course to make sure we have 80 and 50mile routes.

With the Volcanic ash disrupting International flights, it meant that our t-shirts arrived at 5.30pm on Saturday night minus about 200 that are currently resident in Amsterdam.  So for those who received their finishers shirt when they finished, we hope you like them and for those who finished but didn't receive their finishers shirt, we will post them to you when they arrive with us.  This won't be until the week beginning 10th May as this week we will be preparing for our next event, the Grendon Triathlon, which is also a World and European Age Group Qualifying event and boasts a very competitive 700 strong field.

Whilst we received some really good feedback at the event, please let us know your thoughts on an email and if you have any ride experiences then let us know also as this can be really useful when sharing the event with new riders.

And finally, if you like what we are doing with our Cyclosportives, check out our 3rd event on October 9th - Ride 101.  You know you want to!

on the day entries
Squires and Spires - 30th April 2010

We will be taking entries on the day for this Sunday's Squires and Spires Sportive event.  We are expecting a total of around 700 riders.  Please be sure to read the ride information, and keep an eye on the ever changing weather to make sure you are appropriately dressed.  We will have a bike mechanic on hand near the start who will relocate to the Althorpe feedsation (2nd for the duchess and only feedstation for the maid route) after the majority of the riders have left.

If you know the ride is going to take you a long time, try to make sure you set off in one of the earliest groups nearer to the 08:30 start time.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 3rd Squires and Spries Cyclosportive.

fees reduced
Online Fees Reduced - 4th February 2010

We are pleased to announce that our online entry fees have now been reduced form 4% to 2.5%.  This will apply to all online transactions.  There were a lucky 600 customers who weren't charged any online entry fees during the first week's launch of the new website (this wasn't intended as a promotion, it was just our mistake!).  We hope you enjoy using the new site, but remember any problems do let us know so we can ensure all is working as it should be.
