It's official - Winter is now over. After the previous 2 dates were cancelled or re-arranged due to bad weather, it was great to finally get this event run. With the smallest ever field of just over 100 runners, Alex Bowden was the fastest man with Chloe Oldfield taking the fastest woman title. Results can be accessed via the results tab at the top of the page or via the Wendover event page. Please email any problems with the results before wednesday (10th march) as results will be finalised on thursday.
Check out the Elite Duathlon Championships which now includes an age group wave, available to anyone.

It has now been over 4 weeks since we informed all existing runners of the change of date for this year's multi-terrain run at Wendover Woods, which has been plenty of time for runners to let us know if they have been unable to run on this new date. Any runner who has been unable to make this event has received a full refund. However, as we approach 4 weeks to go (Sunday 7th Feb), we will no longer refund any runner who is unable to make this new event. For clarification please refer to our terms and conditions. Should anybody still wish to enter this event, we do have places available.

We are pleased to announce that our online entry fees have now been reduced form 4% to 2.5%. This will apply to all online transactions. There were a lucky 600 customers who weren't charged any online entry fees during the first week's launch of the new website (this wasn't intended as a promotion, it was just our mistake!). We hope you enjoy using the new site, but remember any problems do let us know so we can ensure all is working as it should be.

I am sure that most of you will have realised, the current downfalls of snow and extremely low temperatures forecast for the week ahead create a problem for the above event this weekend.
Wendover Woods has today been closed, the re-opening of which is uncertain. In association with the Forestry Commission, we have postponed the Wendover Multi-Terrain 5 until Sunday 7th March (the earliest opportunity outside January). Despite 2010 being the 10th year of this event, in light of the adverse weather conditions in 2009 and 2010, the 2011 event is likely to continue with a March date.
Please note, this email is going out to both current entrants and past entrants, to try to ensure nobody attempts to turn up and register on the day. If you can circulate this information to as many people as possible that would be much appreciated (we have emailed all competitors and phoned everybody that we do not have an email addresses for).
For all of the pre-entered runners, the issued race number and race times will remain the same. You will not receive any further race information via the post and we look forward to welcoming you to what will hopefully be a glorious event in March.

Race information and race numbers for all entries received for the above running races between 18th December 2009 and 4th January 2010 will be sent out first class on monday 4th January. Closing date for the Wendover multi-terrain 5 closes at midday on tuesday 5th January.

Pre-Entries for the 10th Wendover Multi-terrain 5 will close at midday on tuesday 5th January. After this date we will be accepting entries on the day only for an additional fee of £2. Entry details and race information can be found on the event page. We look forward to welcoming you to our first race of 2010.
