The British Elite Duathlon Championships will again be held at Prestwold Hall arifield, near Loughborough and will take place on a closed looped circuit. All races are draft legal. Event categories will be male and female in the following; Senior, Junior, Youth. The Seniors and Juniors will race together in seperate male and female waves. The Youths will be split in to male and female waves. There will also be a Para Duathletes wave. In addition to the elite championships we will be running several age-group waves which will also be draft legal. The Senior Elites will be competing for a prize fund of £5,000 covering the top 5 male and female places.
Distances:
Senior / Junior / Age Groups: 5k Run, 20k Bike, 2.5k Run
Youths: 2.5k Run, 10k Bike, 1.25k Run
Criteria for categories (1st Run):
Elite Men: Seniors - 17mins, Juniors - 19mins, Youths - no time but must be competent in drafting race
Elite Women: Seniors - 20mins, Juniors - 22mins, Youths - no time but must be competent in drafting race
Age Groups: Must have a pulse
