What we do
Since 2002 Just Racing have provided a variety of coaching packages meeting various group and individual training needs. These have included residential and non-residential training weekends, one-day triathlon courses, swim clinics and individual training programmes.
Individual Training Plans
At Just Racing we firmly believe that everyone has the potential to improve his or her racing, through a personalised training schedule. We are all different and as such have different needs. Your allocated training time may be limited by work or family commitments, or previous experience and future targets.
We also recognise that individuals are just that. Whether it is trying to complete your first triathlon, take on Ironman, get a podium finish, improve your current best time, qualify for the GB team or something we haven’t mentioned, everybody’s needs will be different. It is for this reason that we have re-launched our coaching packages, to allow you, the athlete, the best opportunity to achieve your dreams.
We offer 4 levels of coaching and we have 5 coaches with very different experiences and qualifications. At Just Racing we match the athlete with the coach that we feel will be best placed to maximise your development and reach those individual targets. In order to meet the needs of as many people as possible we have 4 packages on offer.
Package 1 – Mentoring Programme
Our entry level package is aimed at individuals who want structure to their training and are able to keep themselves motivated and on the right path. This costs just £40 per month and includes:
• An individual training programme based on the information gathered from an initial questionnaire.
• Detailed overview and Season / target planning
• Training sent out on a 4 week cycle
• Feedback and contact with the coach on a 4 week cycle
• Extra 1-1 sessions available with coach at £35 per hour
Package 2 – Mentoring Plus Programme
Our mentoring plus package is aimed at those individuals who want the structure with continued support throughout their training. This package allows for a more detailed 2-way communication with the coach for training and lifestyle on a weekly basis and costs £60 per month. This includes:
• An individual training programme based on the information gathered from an initial questionnaire.
• Detailed overview and Season / target planning
– reviewable periodically
• Training sent out on a 1 week cycle
• Feedback and contact with the coach on a weekly cycle
• Extra 1-1 sessions available with coach at £35 per hour
Package 3 – Premium Programme
If you want structure, support and pampering, then our premium package is for you. You will receive;
• An individual training programme based on the information gathered from an initial questionnaire.
• Detailed overview and Season / target planning – reviewed monthly
• Training sent out on a 1 week cycle
• Feedback and contact initiated by the coach twice per week
• Coach available 24/7 (within reason)
• Detailed Nutritional Advice (training and racing)
• Extra 1-1 sessions available with coach at £35 per hour
Package 4 – Train to Race Programme
You get all the benefits of package 2 for the 3 months leading up to the triathlon you sign up for. Your package entry is for 3 months coaching and includes the race entry fee. Payment for this package is a 1 time payment to be made before the training starts with no set up fee to pay.
Sprint Based Triathlon package - £215
Olympic Distance Triathlon package - £235
Middle Distance Triathlon package - £265
With packages 1 to 3 there is a £50 set up fee, payable with the first instalment.
How does it work?
The first thing we will do is to find out what it is you want to achieve in both the short and long term. Once we know where you want to go, we will have a look at your past achievements / experiences and see where you are at now. After making a full assessment, we will assign you to one of our coaches who will work with you to help you set and achieve some exciting and challenging goals for both the short and long term.
And that’s where the fun begins! You will receive your individual training programme for the week / weeks ahead, allowing you to plan when you can fit in the ‘enjoyable’ sessions you will have received. Keep a record of your training and at the end of your reporting period, pass on your feedback, comments etc to your coach who will work with you to ensure you make continued progress.
In order to optimise your performance, training should be viewed as a long-term process, where you can lay the foundations on which to build, to ensure you achieve your aims. This said there is no long-term commitment for the Individual training programmes. Only paying for 1 month in advance, allows you to opt in or opt out at any time.
The Coaches
Our team of coaches have worked with athletes of all abilities, including Novices, Age Groupers, National Age Group Champions, World Age Group Medallists and Ironman competitors. Additionally our coaches have experienced racing at all levels, notching up 100’s of triathlon wins between them, national titles, low 9 hour ironman times along with disappointments on the way. When you register your interest we will send you more detailed information on our coaches and should you wish to proceed with a training plan, you can identify who you would prefer to be working with to achieve your goals.
